The new 5 -star hotel sits within the grand estate of the historic castle and sees the addition of 40 upscale bedrooms alongside the brand-new entertainment-led Trocadero’s dining experience, overseen by Chef Roux.
The hotel has been designed using an art deco inspired international style, popular in the 1920s and 1930s. The opulent fabrics selected enhance the sophisticated sleek aesthetic, while the rich earth tones of greens, oranges and browns captured in the bespoke soft furnishings complement the breath-taking natural surroundings, creating a true sense of escapism.
Calibre Systems were appointed to deliver the full glazing and door package for a large‑scale development, including the supply and installation of windows, external doors, roof‑window skylights, and internal fire‑rated doors. The project required a combination of high performance, modern aesthetics, and strict compliance with fire‑safety.
At the heart of the installation were more than 100 high‑performance, triple‑glazed DA77C outward‑opening windows, complemented by matching doors and sliding systems and bi-folds. The specification not only transformed the building’s appearance with clean, modern lines but also delivered exceptional thermal efficiency and noise reduction — key priorities for the client.
